Coolidge Park | Chattanooga Photographer | Beau & Katherine
Last spring, I had the opportunity to photograph Beau and Katherine. I first met Beau when he was a freshman in my Chemistry lab a few years ago. He’s since become an upperclassman, spending lots of time studying, staying healthy and spending time with his girlfriend Katherine. She and Beau are both academically gifted are planning on attending dentistry school.
Beau has also been a TA for me in a couple of my classes and I’ve enjoyed getting updates on his classes and newest goings on. He’s been incredibly helpful to students and his easy going demeanor makes him very approachable to the students. It’s kind of funny – I don’t see myself as old(er) but when we talked about SnapChat one time, and he realized I had no clue (yes, that made me feel old), he showed me what it was all about. (Just so you know, I decided I was ok without it – though for the sake of my kids, I needed to know what it was all about).
I had heard a lot about Katherine, but had never met her. So, it was really nice to finally meet her for the photosession in Coolidge Park . It was an unseasonable warm end-of-February Sunday. This brought nearly the entire city of Chattanooga out of their houses and into to the parks. While we had to search out some less crowded areas, and get creative with some of the angles, it didn’t take very long for them to feel at ease. They were ready and willing to participate in any of my suggestions. It was super fun to do a photo session with them. I think they may have had *almost* as much fun as I did. And seriously…how cute are they?
